This is a .50cal smoothbore flintlock pistol. It has no makers name but is a later pattern design with weatherproof pan, roller frizzen spring and hooked breech barrel for easy disassembly.
These features came about around the pinnacle of flintlock design, the refinements helping with reliability (especially in bad weather) and ease of maintenance.
Those features would make this an excellent shooters pistol for the modern shooter.
The pistol has London Proof House marks under the woodwork and was proofed with a 180gr ball in front of 1 dram of black powder.
Overall it is in good shooting condition but would be excellent with some personal touches by the new owner, possibly benefiting from some staining of the woodwork to the owners preference and some stock oil to make it really shine.
