A Yugoslavian M70AB2 made by Zastava. This popular AK variant was used extensively throughout the Balkans conflicts.
These AKM’s were made to a very high standard, building on the Russian design Zastava added features such as a return spring button, integrated grenade launching sight, flip up night sights front and rear and longer stock and front grip for bigger statured users.
Expecting longer engagement ranges for the local terrain, they opted for straight steel barrels rather than chrome lined for superior accuracy. Unfortunately as these rifles have now been widely exported, many users do not clean and maintain them as needed (some even use corrosive primed ammunition) and this leads to quick deterioration of the barrel.
This example is in reasonable condition with the usual wear and tear expected with its age. The top cover and magazine are removable.
This example is deactivated to the EU specification and comes with a London Proof House deactivation certificate dated 2026
